LG to shut down its developer website, final opportunity to unlock bootloader

Earlier this year, LG announced it will leave the smartphone industry. This time, the company announced it will be closing down its developer website.

Last chance to unlock bootloader!

Going to the developer website you will see a note on it indicating the firm will shut it down after December 31, 2021, and that "all information provided on the website including releasing the bootloader unlock key will not be available."

This means that it will be the final opportunity for LG phone users to unlock their bootloaders.

Unlocking the bootloader will allow the LG customers to keep their phones a bit longer and stay relevant as years go by. This will give them the freedom to root, install custom ROM, and more for their smartphones.
