VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 is coming!

Back in June 2021, League of Legends developer Riot Games shared that VALORANT is coming to mobile platforms. To recap, VALORANT is a free-to-play first-person hero shooter that was first teased in October 2019 that was soon released on June 2, 2020.

As the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021 reaches the Grand Finals, the VALORANT team has shared the initial details of the upcoming VALORANT Champions Tour 2022. The company has acknowledged the massive support of VALORANT esports during the past season and this has fueled the developers to offer equally massive improvements for next year to ensure the continued growth of the sport.

The new circuit!

In 2022, the international competitions will return but now with expanded regional challengers while adding new digital features to support esports. The new season will also be in a tighter schedule and an improved structure where VALORANT Champions will be moved to September which makes room for a new Tournament Circuit. This includes the new VALORANT Game Changers where the best teams around the world will be brought together to compete. This is to create new competitive opportunities for aspiring Pro players.

Over the coming days, additional details will be revealed regarding the new regional challenger competitors will share across the world. 

A few days ago, the Team Secret, composed of a 5-man all-Filipino team managed to secure their slot in the playoffs which surprised fans worldwide.

For now, stay tuned for the VCT Champions Finals in December where the first VALORANT World Champion will be crowned!
