CES 2022: Fossil intros Skagen Falster Gen 6 and "Razer x Fossil" limited edition watch

Fossil just announced two wearables during the annual tech event CES 2022: the Razer X Fossil Gen 6 and the Skagen Falster Gen 6.

Stylish wearables with Snapdragon Wear 4100+ and WearOS

Both of the smartwatches run on the Snapdragon Wear 4100+ platform and are compatible with Wear OS 3. They both come with Wear OS 2 but will be eligible for the third-gen software update in mid to late 2022.

The main difference sounds to be in the appearance, with the Fossil and Razer collab resulting in a gamer-aesthetic watch, while the Skagen one looks like a more traditional wristwatch.

Six styles of the Skagen Falster Gen 6

The Skagen Falster Gen 6 is a follow-up to the Skagen Falster 3.  The Skagen Falster Gen 6 has a 42mm case size and up to six different styles: Silver, Rose-gold, Charcoal, and Black. Meanwhile, here are three band styles to choose from: stainless steel mesh, silicone, and leather—all in different colors.

A 1.28-inch display and customizable dials and buttons

This watch also sports a 1.28-inch display and customizable dials and buttons. As mentioned it is powered by a Wear 4100+ platform with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. According to the company, it has a charging speed from flat to 80 percent within 30 minutes.

Allegedly, Fossil has teamed up with gaming brand Razer to create the Razer X Fossil Gen 6. This is said to be a limited edition device that has 1,337 units available in the market.

Three watch faces included

The gaming watch has a 44mm stainless steel black case with two custom bands in the box, a black strap, and a green strap. In front, it has a 1.28-inch display and three exclusive watch faces Analog, Text, and Chroma. The Razer Chroma face has different lighting effects and is customizable.

Inside, it is equipped Wear 4100+ chip that is coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. For connectivity, this wearable has Bluetooth 5.0 LE, WiFi, GPS, and NFC SE. The sensors onboard the Razer X Fossil Gen 6 include a compass, altimeter, PPG heart rate sensor, and a blood oxygen sensor.

Fossil claimed that Razer X Fossil Gen 6 can last for two days on a charge but charges very fast. It allegedly can achieve 80 percent in just 30 minutes.
