Popular K-pop group ITZY to promote Pokémon Legends: Arceus

On Facebook, Pokémon Philippines confirmed that they now have a tie-up with popular K-pop group ITZY to promote its newest game.

According to the post, the first part of the tie-up starting February 9 will be a new commercial and TikTok video of Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

To recap, Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the newest game of the company and it will go on sale starting today January 28 (Friday).

It is an open-world Pokémon adventure that is claimed to be "a new challenge and a new frontier for the Pokémon world".

The plot will take place n the Sinnoh region, at a period that appears to be long before other Pokemon games. It will include iconic monsters like Piplup and will let gamers choose among Rowlet, Oshawott, and Cyndaquil as their starter Pokemon.

The back story of this game focuses on trainers exploring the natural expanses in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. In doing this, they’ll encounter Pokémon that call these grand vistas home. 

To catch wild pokémon, players can study the pokémon’s behaviors, sneak up to them, then throw poké balls. Players can also battle wild Pokémon with their ally Pokémon.

The game is developed by Game Freak, the first known project in the action role-playing subgenre to be undertaken by the studio.

Itzy is a South Korean girl group consisting of members Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna. They are under JYP Entertainment.
