The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has updated the country’s digitally issued vaccine certificates to include information about an individual's COVID booster shot.
Two ways of getting a new VaxCertPH

Govt urges Filipinos to secure their VaxCertPH

This is according to DICT officer-in-charge Manny Caintic.

Ang pinakamahalagang update is ‘yung pagsama ng booster shots. Kapag kumuha kayo ng mga VaxCert, makikita niyo na rin ang pangatlong jab ninyo sa vaccine certificate, he said during a virtual briefing.

Aside from adding COVID booster information, Caintic also said the DICT boosted the system with more security features as more nations—a total of 41 countries—now accept the Philippines' national COVID-19 vaccination certificate.

VaxCertPH is a portal and mobile app developed by the DICT for the Department of Health (DOH) for the issuance of digital vaccination certificates for vaccinated individuals in the country.

It includes the holder's personal data, brand, and lot number of the COVID vaccines, as well as the place and date when the shots were administered.

Earlier this month, the DOH urged Filipinos with vaccine certificates to request new ones following the new features in the VaxCertPH system.

Those who obtained QR codes before February 7 would be unreadable and deemed outdated after the updates.
