Recognizing that the Asia Pacific region has a strong appetite for mobile gaming

The video game developer is expanding its publishing business to the Asia Pacific region and will set up offices in selected parts, including the Philippines. To recall, Riot Games is the firm behind widely-popular games such as League of Legends and VALORANT.

A month ago, the company introduced Neon as its first Filipino agent in the game VALORANT. Neon is a Filipino agent with a sprint ability and can outmaneuver as well as outgun opponents with ease. She can even slide to escape in gunfights as seen in the trailer.

Riot Games has a plan to expand in the Asia Pacific region will reach countries like Japan and India, and will also focus on hyper-localization of their efforts. The company said that they will put up offices in countries such as India, Indonesia/Malaysia, and Thailand.

During the press conference, Riot Games Southeast Asia and Taiwan General Manager Justin Hulog noted the role of Southeast Asia in their growth. He also mentioned partnerships with different gamers and companies in developing their products.

Meanwhile, the managing director for Asia Pacific of Riot Games Alex Kraynov explained the reorganization is part of their publishing business' recognition of the region's potential. He further added,

This is a natural step in progression for our publishing business in Southeast Asia, and Riot recognizes that APAC has the potential to become the biggest region in the world for Riot. This region is intricately diverse, with massive gaming communities that have diverse needs and a strong appetite for mobile gaming.

Due to the reorganization, the company said that its operating model will put publishing at the forefront, alongside games, entertainment, esports, and enterprise.

Joel Guzman has been appointed the country manager of Riot in the Philippines. It was also declared that the upcoming office here in the Philippines will be established "within a few months". However, it does not mention a specific time frame yet.

  1. Riot Games is big, sure, but acting like they dominate everything ignores how fast gaming trends change. One hit doesn’t guarantee forever success. Players move on quickly if something new feels better. That’s why I don’t stick to one ecosystem anymore. I’ve been trying Astronaut crash game apk, it’s a crash game app from India with a simple interface, provably fair mechanics using blockchain verification and quick gameplay loops. You can play directly on mobile and even run it in browser. That flexibility is what keeps players, not just big brand names.

  2. Riot Games changed the industry, yeah, but they focus on long competitive sessions. Not everyone wants that. On https://1winluckyjet-india.com/ you get short, intense gameplay with Lucky Jet, plus access to betting markets and bonuses. It’s built for quick engagement, especially for users in India who want fast deposits and instant play.
