Samsung to give 4 OS updates on newer devices!

To recap, the South Korean tech giant said last year that its phones and tablets will receive four years of software support, which would include three major OS updates and four years of security fixes. The pledge included both flagships and lower-tier models such as the A and M series. But now they have decided to extend the life cycles of its top-tier models by an additional year.

This implies that for the next five years, the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Tab S8 models will receive four new Android OS versions as well as security updates. Since they start with Android 12, they should be able to upgrade to Android 16 by 2027, when the final patch will be released.

Owners of Samsung flagships released in 2021 get good news as well, they will receive the same software support schedule as the rest of the Samsung lineup, which means they will get one more OS upgrade and one year of updates than originally scheduled. The Z3 foldable, as well as the flagships of the S21 series, are all included (including the S21 FE). However, the Galaxy S20 series and older foldable will continue to be supported for the next four years.

Below is the list mentioned by the company that is included in the 4 major OS updates.
