Huawei announces Digital Solutions for a greener future

Predictions show that over 50 percent of global GDP will be digitalized in 2022. As the global digital economy develops rapidly, the demand for digital products and services has exceeded expectations.

Huawei's Rotating Chairman Guo Ping explained that as Shannon's theorem and the von Neumann architecture continue hitting severe bottlenecks, the industry must explore new theories and architectures to reshape the technological paradigm to achieve digital sustainability.

The company has continued to invest in decreasing carbon emissions, pushing for the use of renewable energy, supporting the circular economy, and protecting nature with technology, all while adhering to the philosophy of "making technology and nature live together."

Huawei is dedicated to combining digital technology and power electronics to drive the energy revolution, expedite energy digitalization, enable industrial upgrading in hundreds of sectors, and reduce carbon emissions.

The Chinese giant intends to help operators go digital and intelligent and generate new revenue growth by developing synergies between IT and CT, as well as cloud technologies. Huawei's OneStorage solution, for example, has helped one operator in the Asia Pacific reduce TCO by 30 percent.

In terms of reducing carbon emissions, Huawei is currently utilizing a "Bits, Less Watts" policy. Huawei has promised to make its products 2.7 times more energy efficient by creating advancements in areas such as theories, materials, and algorithms, in addition to increasing its basic digital capabilities. When compared to peer goods, Huawei's third-gen Massive MIMO devices fully leverage multi-antenna technology to enhance energy efficiency by 30 percent.

According to reports, if fully utilized by 2030, the country can nurture a digital economy that will generate PHP 5 trillion in economic value. This is the equivalent of 27 percent of the country's GDP in 2020.
