Sony PlayStation Plus gets upgraded with three tiers!

Sony PlayStation Plus now has 3 tiers!

The Sony PlayStation Plus will now have 3 tiers. PlayStation Plus Essential will be the initial tier, and it will be identical to the current PlayStation Plus service. All of the same perks apply, including two downloaded games each month, online multiplayer access, cloud saves, and discounts. The prices will stay the same at USD 10 monthly, USD 25 quarterly, and USD 60 annually. This tier will be transferred to all existing PlayStation Plus subscribers.

The second tier is called PlayStation Plus Extra which includes all of the features of PlayStation Plus Essential. In addition, it also comes with a catalog of up to 400 PS5 and PS4 games that may be downloaded and played at any time while the membership is ongoing. These are games from Sony Playstion Studios as well as third-party developers. It will be priced at USD 15 monthly, USD 40 quarterly, and USD 100 yearly.

The most aptly premium tier called PlayStation Plus Premium includes all features from Essential and Extra tiers and adds 340 more games into the selection. These additional games range from PS3, PS2, PS1, and PSP games.

Original PS1, PS2, PSP, and PS4 titles featured in the Extra and Premium levels are also available for cloud streaming in the Premium tier. On a PS5, PS4, or a PC, these titles may be streamed.

Interested users can also avail of a limited trial option which will let users try games for a bit before they decide if they want to buy them or not.

The Premium tier is priced at USD 18 monthly, USD 50 quarterly, and USD 120 annually.

The new PlayStation Plus plans will be made available in a staggered release roadmap. In June, PlayStation Plus will be available in Asia, followed by North America, Europe, and the rest of the world.

By the end of the first half of 2022, Sony hopes to have all PlayStation Network territories on the new plan. So Filipino gamers, hold on!
