According to Apple, the blank screen issue affects just a small fraction of users. According to the report, a tiny fraction of Watch Series 6 units have become permanently black. The company allows Apple Watch Series 6 owners to check if their device is eligible for the FREE repair to ensure that everyone gets the correct sort of service.

The blank screen issue reportedly affects Apple Watch Series 6 40mm units manufactured between April and September 2021. As a result, the number of individuals who will be able to bring the model in for repair will most certainly be restricted across the world. According to Apple, the FREE service may only be offered where you purchased the watch.

You can see if your Apple Watch Series 6 is eligible for the FREE repair by going to the Apple Support page and using the serial number checker. Apple also stated that if your Apple Watch Series 6 is damaged in any manner, it would be repaired first, at the expense of the owners.
