Google discreetly released the "Switch to Android" app on the Apple App Store in a number of international regions, including the United States. The app, as the name implies, promises to make switching from iOS to Android easier. It aims to assist users in transferring their contacts, calendar, images, and videos to their new Android phones.

The launch was done with no fanfare at all. There's no announcement on the app's website and there's no official announcement post as well from Google. It is not also showing via the App Store search page and can only be accessed via this link.

In its App Store description, the Switch to Android app touts its ability to move users' content between iOS and Android devices without the use of cables. The only setback of the app is the inability to completely migrate apps as well which may be due to app-to-app basis differences.

What do you guys think?
