OnePlus Ace with Dimensity 8100-Max, 150W charging, and advanced cooling system now official

OnePlus yesterday launched its first smartphone from the "Ace" series. Based on its design and specs, the device has plenty of similarities to the realme GT Neo3.

On the back, the device is boasting a flat look with two-tone colors in Black and Blue. In front, it uses a large 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, an In-Display fingerprint reader, and a notch for the 16MP f/2.4 Samsung S5K3P9SP selfie camera.

Highlights of the OnePlus Ace

Inside, it is powered by the "max" version of the up to 5nm 2.85GHz Dimensity 8100 chip with Mali-G510 MC6 GPU which combines the HyperBoost game frame stabilization engine to offer game stability, AI computing, and night scene video noise reduction. Then, it is paired with 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 128GB/256GB/512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with ultra-fast USB-C 150W SuperVOOC fast charging.

The device also highlights an independent graphics chip to double the frame rate.

To keep the performance in check, OnePlus added an efficient cooling system with a total heat dissipation area of 35198.2mm² and a VC liquid cooling system covering the area up to 4129.8mm².

Moreover, it has the world's first new supercrystalline graphite cooling with a better cooling effect.

Design of the device

For cameras, it is using the previous flagship 50MP f/1.88 Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS paired with an 8MP f/2.2 Sony IMX355 120-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP f/2.4 GC02M1 macro sensor, and a dual-LED flash.

Completing the specs, you will find the stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, WiFi 6, 5G SA/NSA, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS (L1 + L5), and dual SIM slots.

This also has a total of 9 antennas and the first WiFi/Bluetooth full acceleration technology in the world.

The device runs with Android 12 OS with ColorOS 12.1 skin on top. Global users will get the OxygenOS 12 skin.

OnePlus Ace measures 163.3 x 75.5 x 8.2 mm and weighs 186 grams.

The device will go on sale in China starting April 26.

There is no word regarding its Philippine release yet.
