Samsung Galaxy M53 5G with 6nm MTK Dimensity 900 chip and 108MP cam announced
Tech firm Samsung today launched the Galaxy M53 5G, the "upgrade" of the M52 5G last year.

Samsung Galaxy M53 5G is now official!
This device is obviously a mid-ranger and it features a glasstic back design with a square camera hump located at the top left corner of the device at the back.

In front, it features a 6.7-inch "Super" AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate and 1080p+ resolution as well as a top-center cutout for its 32MP f/2.2 shooter.
Under the hood, it uses MediaTek's proven 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 900 octa-core processor, but this is a downgrade versus the Snapdragon 778G of the M52 5G.

The RAM is also weirdly lower at 6GB while it retained the expandable internal storage at 128GB and the battery at 5,000mAh with USB-C "Super Fast Charging". Samsung is just calling it "Super Fast Charging", but do not believe them, it is common on mid-rangers and even some entry-level phones nowadays to have 33W and higher, 25W is clearly slower than that.
For cameras, Samsung upgraded its 64MP main shooter to a 108MP f/1.8 primary camera. But it downgraded the ultra-wide camera to just 8MP from 12MP which is disappointing unless this 8MP is better than the previous 12MP.
Then it is paired with a pair of 2MP cameras for macro and depth-sensing instead of using just a single 5MP bokeh camera.
It also has a side-mounted fingerprint reader, dual-band WiFi 5 (weirdly not WiFi 6 even if it has Dimensity 900), 5G SA/NSA, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and dual SIM slots.
