vivo launched the Y21 last August 2021, and now the brand announces its successor called the Y21G with a slim body and a big battery.
Just like its predecessor, the Y21G is designed with a thin 8mm body and comes in Midnight Blue and Diamond Glow colorways. The smartphone uses a 6.5-inch LCD panel with a 1600 x 720 HD+ resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 89 percent screen to body ratio.
Under the hood, it is equipped with a 12nm MediaTek Helio G70 octa-core processor and Mali G52 MC2 GPU. It is paired with a single memory configuration of 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage. Additionally, the RAM can also be extended virtually by up to 1GB only.
As we said, it has a big 5,000mAh battery capacity and can be charged using the USB-C 18W power adaptor.
The smartphone has a dual-camera setup with 13MP as the main sensor combined with a 2MP macro helper. As for selfies, it has an 8MP shooter.
Other features mentioned are a side-mounted fingerprint reader plus face unlock for extra security of the phone. There's also an ultra game mode for an optimized gaming experience.
For connectivity, it has dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G, GPS, OTG, and dual SIM slots.
As for the OS, it is using Funtouch OS 11.1 based on Android 11.
