PLDT's wireless business will rebrand the Sun Postpaid brand to Smart Postpaid starting April 25 as the company promises a better mobile network.

Bye, Sun Cellular |
Better means smarter?
On its website, Smart Communications assured all subscribers of Sun Postpaid, Sun Broadband, and Sun FLP that they can still use their plan inclusions.

The telco also stressed that users do not need to replace their existing SIM cards with a Smart SIM card. But the company urges its consumers to use an LTE SIM to take advantage of the network's improved services.
Smart promises that users can expect a faster LTE mobile network and enjoy simpler account management using the GigaLife app, which allows subscribers to check their usage, manage their postpaid accounts, tap new offers, and receive GigaPoints.
Once your Sun number becomes Smart, you will be able to enjoy a better postpaid experience with Smart Postpaid, the company said.
Once Smart completes the move, all Sun Postpaid or Sun Broadband packages and products will no longer be available. It added that users will no longer have access to My Sun (my.suncellular.com.ph), but they can check their account via the GigaLife app and My Smart.
The shift, Smart said, will only cover all the active and individual Sun Postpaid accounts. Consumers subscribed to Sun Postpaid Corporate, on the other hand, will not be covered yet by the planned activity.
As Filipinos embrace digital payments, Smart assured its subscribers that they can still use the same mobile number for their bank account and e-wallet transactions.
