vivo's first foldable smartphone is official!

Similar to early leaks, the device is boasting a folding 8.03-inch LTPO3 inner AMOLED E5 outer display with a 1-120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, 2200 x 1800 resolution, ultrasonic In-Display fingerprint reader (3D), and a Display Mate's A+ recommendation. To those who are wondering, this uses the SCOTT UTG (ultra-thin glass).

For the outer screen, the device is boasting a 6.53-inch AMOLED E5 screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and an ultrasonic In-Display fingerprint reader.

Both the inner and outer screen has a punch-hole for the 2 selfie cameras.

vivo made this possible by using an aerospace-grade floating wing hinge, zirconium alloy floating center panel, ultra-small teardrop hinge structure, six aerospace-grade materials, and a TÜV Rheinland 300,000-times Folding Worry-Free certification. This allows the device to close flat and stay open at between 60 to 120 degrees angle.

Under the hood, the device is boasting the 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip with a new generation Adreno GPU, 12GB enhanced LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB or 512GB RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and Memory Fusion 2.0 tech.

For battery, it has a large 4,600mAh cell that can be charged 66W via USB-C cable, 50W wireless charging, and a 10W reverse wireless charging support.

Thankfully, it also appears that vivo didn't skimp on the cameras of this device. On the back, it is boasting a 50MP f/1.8 1/1.57-inch Samsung GN5 sensor, 48MP f/2.2 144-degree ultra-wide-angle camera, 12MP f/2.3 2x 47mm zoom camera, and a 5x periscope zoom camera.

As expected, it has ZEISS branding with ZEISS modes like Texture Portrait, Motion Capture 3.0, ZEISS Super Night Scene, ZEISS Nature Color, and more.

For software, the device is built for multitasking as it can run two apps side by side, run floating windows, and a waist-level viewfinder for splitting the screen in an L-shape shooting allowing its users to take long exposure shots or time-lapse videos when the phone is placed on a flat surface.

It is available in Black, Blue, and Grey colors.
