Sun Postpaid is now Smart |
Users can now enjoy Smart 5G and better overall connectivity
In a statement, Smart Communications said subscribers using 5G-enabled smartphones and SIM may now access the company's 5G network, dubbed to be the country's fastest technology, based on a report from Ookla.
By tapping Smart 5G, subscribers can expect "blazing-fast upload and download speeds for greater productivity and more immersive digital experiences on Smart 5G-covered areas nationwide," the company said.
Under this rebranding, all Sun Postpaid subscribers will still be able to use their existing mobile number, SIM and plan inclusions, but will now enjoy all the benefits and perks that come with being a Smart Postpaid customer.
Aside from improved mobile experience, Smart also said subscribers can enjoy simpler account management using the GigaLife app, which allows subscribers to check their usage, manage their postpaid accounts, tap new offers, and receive GigaPoints.
Earlier, Smart said the shift only covers all the active and individual Sun Postpaid accounts. Consumers subscribed to Sun Postpaid Corporate, on the other hand, will not be covered yet by the activity.
