Infinix wants to expand its retail channel outside of Manila and expand its product lineup in 2022, while itel introduced the Vision 3 series, which has an average price of less than USD 100.

Samsung ascended to third place with a 16.8 percent market share after releasing numerous models at various price points, rising 7.6 percent YoY and 2.4 percent QoQ. The new A-series delivered an 89.3 percent QoQ increase in low-end device sales, while the Galaxy S22 series drove a 45 percent QoQ growth in the premium pricing range.

Xiaomi makes a comeback to the top 5 ranks with the launch of the Redmi 10C, Redmi Note 11, and Xiaomi 12 series. It increased by 20.8 percent YoY and 14.6 percent QoQ, with 4G shipments increasing by 48.8 percent QoQ, accounting for over 90 percent of total shipments. Xiaomi's retail development expanded with the introduction of more Mi shops, kiosks, and collaborations with merchants.

OPPO came in 5th despite decreasing 31.8 percent YoY and 37.0 percent QoQ due to constrained supply, which slashed its low-end shipments in half compared to the previous quarter. The introduction of the Reno 7 series boosted the company's 5G market share to 17.7 percent of total shipments.
