The world's first 1.5TB microSD unveiled!

Micro says it is built for a variety of extreme conditions, including industrial-grade video security. It also comes with the company's 176-layer 3D NAND. Furthermore, the brand stated that they are expanding their Industrial Quotient (IQ) partner program and that their LPDDR5 memory is now ISO 26262 ASIL-D certified and another first in the world.

In addition, the i400 microSD features also 5 years of high-quality continuous 24 hours and 7 days a week recording and it is also capable of handling 4K video recording up to 8 AI events per second like the object detection, classification, and two million hours for mean time to failure.

The company added that the i400 MicroSD can also be suitable for fleet dash cameras, smart home security, police body cams, and AI-enabled cameras, all of which involve benefiting from media-rich data storage. The new i400 is also perfect for hybrid VSaaS installations and video storage at the edge due to its enormous capacity.

Finally, users may more efficiently optimize and reduce the quantity of data that needs to be saved in the cloud because of its capacity point, which allows it to keep 120 days' worth of video security media locally.

For now, there are no details for its price and availability. We will update this page once Micron releases information about it.
