Garmin Forerunner 955 with solar charging now available in the Philippines!

Garmin has a new smartwatch called the Forerunner 955 Solar which can charge using the sun's energy to prolong the battery life.

Garmin Forerunner 955 Solar is now in the Philippines!

As the main highlight, Garmin says it is equipped with the so-called Power Glass solar charging lens. This enables the device to last up to 20 days using smartwatch mode, up to 49 hours in GPS mode, and up to 110 hours with "UltraTrac mode".

Alongside that, it has an always-on 1.3-inch full-color display with 260 x 260 resolution, 5-point multitouch, and Corning Gorilla Glass DX protection. The brand also says you can see clearly even under direct sunlight.

The smartwatch also features multi-band GPS so users can stay on track with different environments.

There are also health-related features like the heart rate monitor, blood oxygen monitor, menstrual cycle and pregnancy tracking, training readiness, sleep tracking, and morning report.

Can be used for fitness

Additionally, it has a Race widget so users can view race prep information along with the race-day specific performance prediction, weather, and countdown clock.

Users can also see the SMS notifications and play music via the preinstalled Spotify.

It can be paired with the Garmin Connect app so you can manage all the features inside it.

Finally, there's also the Forerunner 955 nonsolar powered version with the same features except the Power Glass solar charging lens.
