Huawei to intro XMAGE camera tech on next flagship

Last month Huawei unveiled its IMAGE tech and it appears that they will rename it to XMAGE. This will be the company's replacement for Leica.

Huawei intros XMAGE as their newest imaging technology!

XMAGE will be an exclusive brand for Huawei Mobile Imaging and the tech giant promises that their upcoming flagship smartphone will see a breakthrough in the field of photography.

Huawei XMAGE, which will be the exclusive logo of Huawei Mobile Imaging, announces our leadership and maturity in the field of imaging and will also represent our continued breakthrough and commitment, said He Gang, COO of Huawei.

Technological innovation and shooting experience's core will be optical systems, imaging technology, image processing, and other areas

In case you're not aware optical systems for example are the multi-cameras, periscopic telephoto, free-form lens, and more that you normally see on the smartphone.

On the other hand, imaging technology talks about the photoelectric conversion intersection point, with an RYYB super-sensitive sensor, full pixel octa-core focus, 10-channel multi-spectral sensor, hyperspectral image, and so on.

While Image processing pertains to the array of algorithm-level technologies such as AI photography, real-time HDR fusion, XD Fusion Pro True-Chrome Image Engine and more.
