PUBG x BLACKPINKcollab was announced yesterday which comes along with a music video and a bunch of in-game items and a new mode.
Many game companies have been doing a partnership with stars or other popular icons as part of a promotion. But this time, Krafton has collaborated with the K-pop supergroup BLACKPINK and there's even a music video included called "Ready For Love".
In the video, you will see the 4 members in their 3D avatar versions which sing and dance inside the PUBG's battle royale arena. The girl group hasn't been active lately so it is quite a surprise for many of their fans to see a new music video but done with a game.
Also, the fans expressed in the comment section how they like the video with one even saying that it is "Breaking records and it's not even a comeback".
Moving forward, there will also be in-game items from PUBG based on BLACKPINK such as the airplane and crates that carry the girl group's logo and a distinctive pinkish crown.
If you play the game, it's like having a free digital concert of BLACKPINK as your character is even wearing a concert hood and waving a light stick while the 4 four members are performing.
There's even a mode similar to subway surfer but here you have to slide using a skateboard and collect hearts.
The 3rd part of the game mode will bring you to a different area where you can fly to approach the idols.
After completing the whole mode you can take a pose together with them.
For now, it is unclear whether the K-pop group can be used as a skin inside the game, but seeing their 3D avatars it could likely happen.
What do you guys think?
