DITO hits the subscriber base target!

Its chief administrative officer Adel A. Tamano said the group continued to receive an "overwhelming reception" from consumers since DITO started its operations in March 2021.

Tamano attributed this performance to DITO's aggressive network rollout with more than 5,500 cellular towers built, allowing it to increase its coverage to over 600 cities and municipalities.

In the statement, DITO also bared that it has already breached its 70 percent population coverage target.

As we continuously ramp up our presence throughout the archipelago, we also are deploying with continuous testing of our 5G capability coupled with high impact and high value retail offerings based on consumer demand. We are grateful for our subscribers’ continuous trust and support, and we are pushing hard to create avenues and opportunities for them to indulge even more in the DITO experience, said DITO’s Chief Commercial Officer Evelyn Jimenez.

DITO Chief Technology Officer Rodolfo Santiago also said the telco will further ramp up its 5G presence across the country. The network is said to be 20 times faster than 4G.

Its 5G Home WiFi, meanwhile, keeps its momentum with more customers now onboard the network. DITO said it provides speeds of up to 500 Mbps for as low as PHP 590 per month.

DITO said it will continue to strengthen its presence nationwide, reiterating its commitment to providing quality and reliable telco services to every Filipino.
