GCash reaches 66 million registered users for Q2 2022!

As of June 2022, GCash shared that it recorded 66 million registered users. This exponential growth comes as digital payments become a staple in PH.

This was announced by GCash President and CEO Martha Sazon during the Mobile 360 Asia Pacific FinTech Summit in Singapore. According to GCash, the company's fast growth comes from collaboration with other fintech (financial tech) providers and not competition.

It gained 6 million users in Q2 2022 to reach its current 66 million. To answer the population's desire for more accessible financial services, GCash has worked with different financial institutions, including BPI, ATRAM, and CIMB, as well as numerous government organizations, insurance businesses, and fintech firms. Additionally, GCash partnered with Ant Group Financial, giving the app access to world-class infrastructure and capabilities, allowing it to scale up quickly and guarantee user security.

GCash became a key partner of the government for the Department of Social Welfare's Social Amelioration Program (SAP), which was disbursed via the GCash app with over PHP 16 billion received by more than 2 million recipients. GCash was driven by its goal to deliver fast, safe, and convenient digital products and services to the masses, most especially the millions of unbanked Filipinos at the height of the pandemic. 

Additionally, GCash supports micro, small, and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs) by collaborating with various insurance companies to deliver practical digital business solutions, such as business insurance products. On the GCash app, more comparable services will soon be introduced.
