In terms of financial growth, PLDT got PHP 17 billion for Telco Core which is a 12 percent increase from H1 2021. It got PHP 94.3 billion in Service Revenues which is a 5 percent growth from last year. It spent PHP 43.8 billion and got PHP 50.5 billion in EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) which is a 52 percent EBITDA margin.
It also had 79 percent of data revenues which is 3 percent more compared to last year. It also added 1.92 million fiber ports bringing its total up to 6.72 million from 4.80 million ports. It also added 2,513 5G BTS bringing its total to 7,289. It also added 612 3rd Party Racks with 74 percent rack utilization. |

Other developments for the first half of 2022 included the opening of Jupiter Cable System, tripling PLDT's international capacity. The company also emphasized its sustainability efforts as it started to employ electric vehicles in its fleets.
