HUAWEI Mate 50 Pro with SD8+ Gen 1, 120Hz OLED and 50MP XMAGE variable aperture cameras goes global!
HUAWEI introduced the Mate 50 Pro to the global market nearly a month after its initial reveal in China.

In early September, HUAWEI officially unveiled the Mate 50 Pro series for the Chinese market. Now in late September 2022, HUAWEI confirms the arrival of the Mate 50 Pro for the international market.
The key feature of the new phone is the 50MP RYYB sensor with the Ultra Aperture XMAGE Camera with an f/1.4 ultra-large aperture, adjustable physical aperture of 10 sizes that goes down to f/4.0. Alongside it is the 13MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera and 64MP f/3.5 3.5x optical zoom, 100x digital zoom periscope telephoto camera with OIS and LED flash.
In front of the phone is the 6.74-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 2616 x 1212 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and a 300Hz touch sampling rate. Above it is the notch that houses the 13MP f/2.4 ultra-wide-angle selfie camera with a 3D depth camera.
Inside is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 4G octa-core processor, Adreno GPU, 8GB RAM, 256GB/512GB storage, NM memory card slot expansion, and a 4,700mAh battery with 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge, 50W HUAWEI wireless Super Fast Charging and reverse wireless charging.
Other features include dual nano-SIM support, an In-Display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and USB-C. The body is IP68 water and dust resistant rated while the Glass is made of Kunlun Glass with a drop certification from Switzerland's SGS.
It doesn't have the satellite connectivity of the Chinese version.

It is expected to arrive in select European countries first before the rest of the world. There is no concrete information on pricing and on the date of arrival in the Philippines.
