DxOMark: HUAWEI Mate 50 Pro is the new top camera phone in the world!

DxOMark today revealed the camera score of the new HUAWEI Mate 50 Pro. According to the image quality testing authority, it is the very best camera phone in the world.

A new camera king!

The HUAWEI Mate 50 Pro achieved a Photo score of 152, a Bokeh score of 80, a Preview Score of 63, a Zoom score of 148, and a Video Score of 141 for an average camera rating of 149. The device got the top score for Photo and Bokeh and really high scores for the rest of the categories except Preview.

Score breakdown

The 149 camera score of the Mate 50 Pro is enough to leapfrog the Google Pixel 7 Pro and HONOR Magic4 Ultimate with 147 points from the top spot. Obviously, this is also higher than the iPhone 14 Pro Max with 146 points and the Galaxy S22 Ultra with 131 points only.

According to DxOMark, the device can capture high-quality photos in all typical situations with truly outstanding performance in low light, an innovative variable aperture system, great quality image from an ultra-wide cam, excellent zoom, and high-quality video for indoors and outdoors, among others.

The global China-based tech titan achieved this feat even if its partnership with Leica has recently ended.

The device is using a 50MP wide shooter with variable f/1.4 to f/4.0 aperture +  OIS, a 13MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle Cine camera, a 64MP f/3.5 with 3.5x optical zoom, up to 100x digital zoom, OIS, and an LED flash.
