Satellite on Android and Apple?

Satellite connection on more smartphones soon?

This development came a week after SpaceX announced that it would bring satellite connectivity to smartphones in partnership with T-Mobile.

Satellite connectivity on phones will allow them to have connections even in areas with no cellular connectivity or even help in emergency situations. It could be a great connectivity alternative in far-flung areas.

According to T-Mobile, it will initially support text messaging, MMS, and select messaging apps. In the long run, data and voice would be considered as well.

The estimated start of its beta is in late 2023.

But apart from the operating system support, your phone should also be capable of satellite connections.

Meanwhile, according to Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the next iPhone 14 phones might also get satellite connectivity. It mainly provides emergency testing or voice services. Photos and voice calls will be supported later.

What do you guys think?
