The MediaTek Dimensity 8200 is the follow-up to the Dimensity 8100. It now moves to the 4nm-class process making it more power efficient compared to its predecessor. It has 8 total cores with 1x 3.1GHz Arm Cortex-A78 prime core, 3x 3.0ghz Arm Cortex A78 performance core, and 4x 2.0GHz Arm Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. It also has the Mali-G610 graphics processor.

It supports up to quad-channel LPDDR5 RAM at 6400Mbps, dual-channel UFS 3.1, up to 180Hz FHD+ screen or 120Hz WQHD+ screen, 5G SA/NSA, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, dual-band GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and NavIC.

It has the HyperEngine 6.0 gaming technologies for a fluid gaming experience without connection drops, FPS jitter, or gameplay hiccups. Additionally, it has the Intelligent Display Sync 2.0 technology, which intelligently adjusts the display refresh rate in accordance with the game frame rate detected to help deliver smoother viewing experiences. The APU 580, a fifth-generation AI processor from MediaTek, is still present in the 8200.

Imagiq 785 ISP offers 320MP photo support, 14-bit HDR video recording on up to three cameras at once, and cinematic video recording with double camera capture for the most realistic bokeh effect.

The MediaTek Dimensity 8200 will start to shop up on smartphones starting this month. Two of the confirmed devices sporting this are the iQOO Neo7 SE and the Redmi K60E.
