There's a new strange easter egg right now on the Google Search Engine upon typing some specific keywords.
You'll need to search "The Last of Us" or "cordyceps" and other keywords related to the show. Upon doing that, there will be a pop-up mushroom button at the lower part of your screen (PC or mobile).
Clicking the button then will start the fungus to grow and if you click more, it will spread until the entire screen is covered up by overflowing ominous spores, mushrooms, tendrils, and some vine-like patterns.
Don't worry though as this is just creative marketing in promoting "The Last of Us" TV show that aired recently in the US via HBO Max and Binge in Australia. Originally this was a hit game on the PlayStation but a TV adaptation is created for the fans.
Currently, the show is just on episode 2 and the fans are crazy over it already. While the next episode will air next week January 29.
What do you guys think? Have you tried it yet?
