According to OnePlus, it will be a flagship foldable smartphone that "doesn't settle" and will provide a fast and smooth experience.

Our first foldable phone will have the signature OnePlus fast and smooth experience. It must be a flagship phone that doesn't settle because of its folding form, in terms of industrial design, mechanical technology, and other aspects. We want to launch a device that aims to be at the pinnacle experience of today’s foldable market. said Kinder Liu, President and COO of OnePlus at the event.

There are no other details about the foldable phone yet.

But, the company is highlighting the recently announced OnePlus 11 5G with flagship specs for a fast and smooth experience as well as an extended software support policy for the first time of 4 years of operating system updates and 5 years of security updates to make the device future-proof.

These suggest that the upcoming OnePlus foldable will be a near no compromised device like the OnePlus 11 flagship.

OnePlus said that more info about the foldable will be released in the coming months.

During the event, the company also shared that it has an approach to achieving the ultimate and industry-leading in tech and it constantly learns from its community to improve the overall experience of its devices.

The brand also shared that it has plans to build a stronger smart ecosystem in the next 3-5 years and bring its "fast and smooth" experience to brother categories. They promised to create a seamless connection between OnePlus smartphones, tablets, wearables, TVs, and other internet-of-things (AIoT) devices.
