Kristoffer Rada, TikTok PH head of Public Policy shared that the platform primarily involves three pillars in terms of their goal against disinformation.

The first pillar includes "Trust and Safety" which involves "enhancing moderation and responding to takedown requests".

Second pillar talks about the "Positive Space" which he continued that TikTok is encouraging users and creators to fill in the space with positive content. They want the community to do right the thing when using social media, don't resort to damaging content just to spread negativity, gain views or put someone in a bad light.

They also highly encourage every user to search for credible sources of information and not believe so easily what they see on social media.

The third pillar tackles "Digital Literacy" which meant that the platform is working hand in hand with industry stakeholders to advance digital literacy in the country.
The Community Guidelines

Another huge factor they talked about is the TikTok Community Guidelines which contains a code of conduct that aims to provide a safe and healthy social media environment for its users.

TikTok thinks that having a safe environment allows its users to express themselves freely and generate more authentic content for everyone. They aim to foster an environment with genuine interactions by encouraging authentic videos on the platform.

In addition, their rules and guidelines are updated regularly to improve based on the trends arising as part of TikTok's move for a safer place of fun and creativity.

Lastly, the ByteDance-owned firm has deployed Trust and Safety team that leads on-platform content control and is responsible for maintaining the Community Rules to ensure safeness for all. They also collaborated with notable news agencies to aid in verifying harmful disinformation so that it can be immediately taken down.
