Canalys: These are the top 5 smartphone brands in the Philippines (2022)

Market research firm Canalys has recently revealed the top 5 vendors in the Philippines in Q4 and the entire year of 2022.

Top smartphone brands in PH in Q4 and the entire 2022

In Q4, realme continues to dominate the Philippine market by capturing 27 percent of the market share and +4 percent annual growth year-on-year (YoY).

OPPO climbed to number 2 with 20 percent of the pie and +16 percent growth. Transsion recorded 15 percent unit share despite a -20 percent growth at number 3 followed by Smasung with 11 percent and -34 percent growth at number 5.

vivo dropped all the way down to number 5 with 9 percent and a whopping -60 percent growth.

Here are the top 5 smartphone vendors in the Philippines (Q4 2022):

1. realme - 27 percent unit share (+4 percent growth)
2. OPPO - 20 percent (+16 percent growth)
3. Transsion - 15 percent (-20 percent growth)
4. Samsung - 11 percent (-34 percent growth)
5. vivo - 9 percent (-34 percent growth)

For the entire 2022, realme captured 21 percent of the pie despite the -14 percent annual growth for the numnber 1 spot.

Transsion is blazing at number 2 with 18 percent of the share at +89 percent growth.

OPPO is at number 3 with 15 percent and -1 percent growth followed by Samsung with 13 percent and -5 percent growth.

Xiaomi completes the top 5 with 12 percent share and +1 percent growth.
