Another rival for ChatGPT?
This will be called "TruthGPT" which will be a "maximum truth-seeking AI that tries to understand the nature of the universe," he noted.
The billionaire said TruthGPT "might be the best path to safety" that would be "unlikely to annihilate humans," according to a Reuters report.
He also criticized OpenAI for "training the AI to lie" and that the developer is now a "closed source,"
Just last month, Musk registered the company X.AI Corp., according to a state filing. It named Musk as the sole director and Jared Birchall, the managing director of Musk's family office, as secretary.
Google also recently started rolling out its own AI chatbot tool Bard, also a rival of ChatGPT.
Meanwhile, Musk also expressed concern about AI, warning that it is “more dangerous” than cars or rockets and that it can potentially destroy humanity.
It has the potential of civilizational destruction, he claimed.
For example, an AI can help in writing, but there is also the possibility of it manipulating public opinion, he noted.
Musk earlier tweeted that he met former US President Barrack Obama when he was still in office to push for the regulation of AI.
In 2015, Musk co-founded OpenAI. He stepped down from the company in 2018 to focus on Tesla and SpaceX.
