RED enters the Philippine market!
RED has brought their legendary image quality and color science in an ultra-compact, all-in-one Aluminum body that measures 4 x 4 x 4 inches and weighs just 2.1 lbs or 1kg. To achieve this, RED utilized Canon's RF lens mount paired with a 19.9MP Super35 (APS-C) sized CMOS sensor with Global Shutter technology. The said combination yields 16+ stops of dynamic range and it effectively eliminates rolling shutter artefacts.
It has a shutter speed range of 1/8000 to 1 second and an ISO range of 250 to 12,800.

The camera can capture and record footage at up to 6K at 40fps, 5K at 48fps, 4k at 60fps and 2K at 120fps in REDCODE RAW which the company promises incredible flexibility in post-production. It can also record in Apple ProRes formats at 4K and 2K resolution at up to 120fps.
The said sensor comes with Phase-Detect Autofocus with compatible lenses. This includes the aforementioned RF lenses and Canon's EF lenses when using the EF to RF lens adapter included in the box.
The camera saves the files into either a RED Pro or qualified third-party CFast 2.0 cards at up to 280MB/s write speeds.

It has an integrated 2.9-inch touchscreen LCD screen with a 1440 x 1440 resolution for video preview and camera control.
The camera can be powered by two lightweight Canon BP-9 batteries or a larger capacity or thru an AC power supply.

The RED Komodo 6K Cinema Camera body only comes with a Canon EOS R lens mount and will come with a Canon EF to EOS-R adapter inside the box.
It is now available for purchase from Henry's Professional Cameras and it can be yours for up to 24 months in instalments. As of this article's writing, the store says they have a demo unit at their Glorietta branch for those interested in trying the camera.
