The SIM registration process is "easy"

According to the SWS survey conducted from March 26-29, 56 percent of adult Filipino SIM card owners had registered their SIM cards, while 44 percent have yet to do so.

Among those registered, 72 percent considered the registration process to be very/somewhat easy, and 28 percent considered it somewhat/very hard.

From the original April 26 deadline, the government has decided to extend the registration process for 90 days.

Authorities earlier said they are studying deactivating services for unregistered SIM owners to push them to already comply with the SIM Registration Act.

Failure to register one’s SIM would lead to deactivation.
