ZTE wins "Technology Innovation of the Year - Philippines" at Asian Telecom Awards 2023, other accolade

At the Asian Telecom Awards 2023, China-based technology giant ZTE won two big distinctions.

Big win for ZTE!

The first one is the "Technology Innovation of the Year - Philippines" award in partnership with Converge ICT Solutions Inc. where they introduced the first XGS-PON services in the country.

ZTE said that the awards are proof that the company is among Asia's top telecommunications companies.

The company noted that it distinguished itself from the competition by utilizing ZTE XGS-PON for network expansion and implementing the Filipino Localization Improvement Program (FLIP). 

FLIP is its solution that focuses on enhancing the skills of local engineers and driving localization efforts. It demos the company's commitment to empowering the Filipino telecommunications industry.

The first XGS-PON services in the Philippines through Converge enabled an industry-first average speed of 8 Gbps bringing a first-world country experience to Converge’s clientele. It caters to bandwidth-hungry applications, more users, and an increased number of devices.

ZTE Philippines will continue to be the country’s partner in bringing forth second-to-none technology innovations, remaining faithful to our commitment towards driving the digital economy, said Mr. Zhang Chaohao, CMO of ZTE Philippines.

The second one is the "HR Initiative of the Year - Philippines".

ZTE achieved this with its FLIP program as well. It's a meticulously planned talent management strategy aimed at recruiting, and nurturing digital talents in the industry.

Moreover, ZTE has entered into a strategic cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with two of the Philippines' premier universities, the University of Santo Tomas (UST) and the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, as part of an Industry-Academe Linkage Program (IALP) to strengthens industry-academe partnerships and fosters mutual growth.
