vivo S17 Series color Purple variant announced: SD778G, Dimensity 8050, 120Hz 6.78-inch AMOLED, and 256GB!

vivo introduces a dazzling "Encounter Purple" color variant for its S17 and S17t smartphones.

The devices were initially introduced with Black, Mountain Sea Green, and Sea of Flowers colorways. Now the brand has added another eye-catcher colorway to its collection as part of Chinese Valentine's Day which will be on August 28.

To recap, both smartphones feature identical details besides their processors. The base S17 comes with 2.6GHz SD778G 8-core chip with Adreno 642L GPU. On the other hand, the S17t  gets the 6nm Dimensity 8050 with Mali-G77 MC9 GPU.

At the front, they feature 6.78-inch 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 2800 x 1260 resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, 10-bit colors, and 100 percent coverage of the DCI P3 wide color gamut.

Both devices come with 8GB/12GB LPDDR4X RAM, 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage choices, and a 4,600mAh battery with 80W fast charger.

At the rear, these devices are equipped with 50MP f/2.0 primary camera with OIS + 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera with an Aura Light LED ring flash. While at the front, you can see a 50MP f/2.0 selfie camera with dual soft LED flash.

Other features include an In-Display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio, WiFi 6, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM slots. 

They also have measurements of 164.18 x 74.37 x 7.46 mm and weigh 186 grams. It will run on Android 13 with OriginOS 3.

vivo S17 8GB/256GB - CNY 2,499 (around PHP 19.7K)

vivo S17 12GB/256GB - CNY 2,799 (around PHP 22.1K)

vivo S17t 12GB/512GB - CNY 2,999 (around PHP 23.7K)

As of this writing, neither of these color variants hasn't reached PH shores yet. But we will update you as soon as vivo gives us word about it.
