New expert boosts Gogolook
Following his appointment, Migriño would lead Gogolook in strengthening its ties with key stakeholders, including government agencies, regulators, and industry players.
As a country representative, the official would likewise beef up the group's expansion plans across the Philippines, and boost its "Scam Free Pilipinas" campaign.
Jeff Kuo, CEO of Gogolook, sees Migriño as a "valuable asset" to the company amid the latter’s extensive experience in the information security and regulatory landscape of the region.
She is a valuable asset to our team and will play a key role in helping us to grow our business in the region while bringing our anti-fraud solutions to the next level, Kuo said.
Before her stint with Gogolook, Migriño boasted more than 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, holding top positions in several industries.
She also bagged multiple international cybersecurity awards, such as Top 1 CSO30 ASEAN and Hong Kong, Security Leader of the Year by Women in IT Awards, and a CIO100 Awardee by Foundry (formerly IDG).
Migriño showed her optimism about leading Gogolook’s success in the local market.
With the core value of "Build for Trust," Gogolook is committed to creating various anti-fraud solutions, aiming to establish a fraud-free environment worldwide. Their flagship product, Whoscall, has garnered the affection of users from multiple countries, accumulating over 100 million downloads globally. It has also been selected for designated anti-fraud collaborations by government entities in countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, and Japan, which attests to its technological leadership. As fraud continues to infiltrate the Philippines, I am delighted that they are willing to invest and provide assistance. I also look forward to the participation of the Filipino community in our initiatives, such as the #ScamFreePilipinas campaign. We welcome collaboration from the government and businesses alike to join forces in combating fraud, she said.
