vivo V29 5G priced in the Philippines: Aura Light 2.0, 50MP OIS cam, SD778G chip, starts at PHP 24,999

Ahead of its local launch, a vivo store in SM Lanang Davao revealed the official price tag of the V29 5G in the Philippines.

The vivo V29 5G boasts a 3D glass back body in Magic Maroon and Starry Purple colorways. Magic Maroon is the variant with a color-changing mode. For water and dust resistance, it has an IP54 rating.

In front, vivo slightly improved its display coming from the vivo V27 5G. It is now using a 1.26K resolution display instead of FHD+. So, the total pixels per inch is now 453 at 6.78 inches.

Under the hood, the device is loaded with the 2.4GHz 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G octa-core processor with Adreno 642L GPU. It is paired with 12GB RAM, 256GB or 512GB internal storage.

For battery, it has a 4,600mAh capacity with 80W Fast Charge via USB-C. According to Vivo, it can charge the device to 50 percent in 18 minutes.

The main highlight of the handset is its cameras. It has a 50MP OIS Ultra-Sensing Camera + 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter + 2MP depth helper. vivo also improved its built-in ring light now called 15.6mm Aura Light 2.0. It can now create 3D, soft, and non-dazzling light and can adjust its color temperature to the subject's surroundings.

For selfies, it has a 50MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The device has WiFi 6, 5G SA/NSA, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM (nano + eSIM). One downside, it the speaker is still not stereo.

While the phone runs Android 13 OS with FuntouchOS 13.1 skin.
