Build/Design - The two phones arrived with mostly polycarbonate construction. realme C51 has a two-tone "Stylish Glittering Design" with a boxy frame while the Galaxy A04e is equipped with a curvier back design. Both have a waterdrop design. The C51 is slimmer at 7.99 mm.

Display - The realme C51 arrived with a larger 6.74-inch LCD (IPS) panel with a smoother 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A04e has a 6.5-inch panel. The two have an HD+ screen.
Specs - In terms of processor, the realme C51 uses a stronger 1.82GHz 12nm UNISOC T612 octa-core processor with 2x Cortex-A75 cores and 6x A55 cores. Moreover, its GPU is Mali-G57 MC1.
On paper, the higher-clocked 2.3GHz chip of Samsung Galaxy A04e seems stronger. But, don't be fooled. It is the weaker and older chip that only uses the Cortex-A53 cores.
Both have up to 4GB RAM and 5,000mAh battery capacity. The realme C51 has a bigger up to 128GB internal storage.
The other highlight of the realme C51 is it has a speedier 33W SUPERVOOC that can charge the device from 0 to 50 percent in 30 minutes.

Cameras - There is no contest here. realme has a larger 50MP main shooter compared to the 13MP of Samsung. The two have secondary cameras for depth sensing. For selfies, both are equipped with a 5MP f/2.2 snapper.
Other features - realme C51 has a side-mounted fingerprint reader, 150 percent Ultra-Boom Speaker, dual-band WiFi, and dual SIM slots.

Our thoughts
Obviously, the realme C51 offers more. It is the phone with a smoother display, newer and faster chip, 50MP main shooter with Night mode, side-mounted fingerprint reader, and an arguably more modern design, among others.
