Coming to PH soon?
vivo quietly launched the new Y17s in Singapore. Curiously, the same phone's official listing page for the Philippines went live with a ''coming soon" button and an image of a phone covered with a large dark fabric.
The phone that launched in Singapore features a large 6.56-inch LCD screen with a 1,612 x 720 resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate.
Inside is the immortal 12nm MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core processor, 6GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB eMMC 5.1 storage, microSD card expansion, and a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast wired charging.
At the back of the phone are the 50MP f/1.8 main rear camera and the 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor with an LED flash while in front is the 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera.

Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual SIM support, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, a 3.5mm audio jack and an IP54 water and dust resistance rating.
It measures 163.74 x 75.43 x 8.09mm and weighs 186 grams.
Lastly, it will run Android 13-based FunTouch OS 13 and will come in either Glitter Purple or Forest Green.
Interested Philippine customers can expect the same specifications but should still stay tuned until the official announcement.

vivo Y17s - SGD 199 (around PHP 8.3K)
It is available for purchase in Singapore and is expected to arrive in other Asian markets like the Philippines soon. Stay tuned for the price and availability.
