Apple M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max are now official!

The new Apple M3 chips are built under the 3nm (nanometer) process making it the first PC chip maker using that tech.

The Apple M3 comes in 3 versions: the regular M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max.

Key specs and features of the new M3 chips

Apple M3 - Up to 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 24GB unified memory, 25 billion transistors
Apple M3 Pro - Up to 12-core CPU, 18-core GPU, 36GB unified memory, 37 billion transistors
Apple M3 Max - Up to 16-core CPU, 40-core GPU, 128GB unified memory, 92 billion transistors

According to Apple, these new chips arrive with a next-generation GPU architecture with up to 2.5x faster GPU rendering than the previous generation. It also has hardware-accelerated mesh shading, hardware-accelerated ray tracing, Advanced Media Engine with AV1 decore, and Dynamic Caching.

In scene rending in Cinema 4D, the M3 Max is 2x faster than the M2 Max and 2.5x faster than the M1 Max.

Apple said that the new M3 chips have those capabilities while online consuming half the power versus the previous generation.
