Anyone in the Philippines will no longer be able to watch several Disney channels including National Geographic on TV.

End of an era
To recap, a September 13 advisory on the MySKY website revealed that The Walt Disney Company has decided to cease the broadcast of several Disney TV channels in Southeast Asia (SEA) including the Philippines effective October 1, 2023, which is today.
The Walt Disney Company ceased the broadcast of several Disney TV channels in PH effective today October 1, 2023.
The channels included are:
- Baby TV
- National Geographic
- National Geographic Wild
- Star Chinese Movies
- Star Chinese Channel
The last transmission date of the channels was yesterday September 30, 2023, at 11:59:59 PM.
Obviously, the said channels will no longer be offered for new Select subscriptions on SKY.
As an alternative, SKY is recommending these channels: ZooMoo, Cartoonito, History, and Discovery Channel.
In 2021, Disney made a similar move in order to shift its focus to streaming services.
