DITO bags four recognitions at Opensignal Mobile Network Experience Awards

DITO beats big telco players

The Uy-led telco player said in a statement it received four awards at the recent Philippines Mobile Experience Awards.

Opensignal Awards – Philippines: Mobile Network Experience Report October 2023, was based on an independent analysis of mobile measurements recorded from July 1 – September 28, 2023.

First on DITO's list of recognitions was being declared as the best in terms of Games Experience. This measured how mobile users experience real-time multiplayer mobile gaming on an operator's network. It also analyzed how mobile network conditions, like latency, packet loss, and jitter affect users' multiplayer mobile gaming. DITO scored 63.1 points here, versus Smart's 61.7 points and Globe's 60.7 points.

DITO was also top in terms of Upload Speed Experience, Consistent Quality, and Availability.

On Upload Speed, the telco scored 6.3 Mbps, beating its previous 5.2 Mbps.

For the Consistent Quality Award, DITO was ranked first with a rating of 57.9 percent, beating Smart and Globe by 4.1 and 8.2 percentage points, respectively. This measured how subscribers enjoy seamless standard-definition video streaming, web browsing, email use, and photo-sharing.

DITO also remained at the top in terms of Availability with 98.6 percent.

These accolades attest to the company's continuous efforts in ramping up its 5G infrastructures. Despite being a newcomer in the telco industry, DITO’s presence is indeed highly felt and recognized globally, the company said.
