Redmi Buds 5 Pro: Coaxial dual drivers, Hi-Res Audio Wireless, LDAC, 52dB ANC, PHP 3,099 intro price

Alongside the Redmi Buds 5, Xiaomi introduced its "Pro" version in an event in Thailand last Monday.

Dual drivers, Hi-Res certified, budget price tag!

The Redmi Buds 5 Pro features an in-ear design with IP54 water and dust resistance rating in Midnight Black, Moonlight White, and Aurora Purple colorways with custom coaxial dual drivers featuring an 11mm bass driver with a titanium diaphragm and a 10mm piezoelectric ceramic tweeter.

According to Xiaomi, the said driver combination is designed to deliver a precise sound reproduction across all sound frequencies with smooth highs, rich mids, and solid lows to let its users experience a high-quality "HiFi" sound on the go.

The buds have a "marble texture design" with multi-layer coating for aesthetics as well.

The device also has 3-microphone + AI noise cancellation for calls consisting of a feed-forward mic, feedback mic, and a talk mic that can even resist wind noise at 9m/s.

Up tom 52dB ANC

For ANC, Xiaomi claims that it has up to 52dB of active noise cancellation to effectively block unwanted outside noise and let its users enjoy music in peace.

Moreover, it has up to 4kHz ultra-wide frequency noise cancellation to effectively reduce noise from the surrounding environment and improve comfort.

This is even higher than the 46dB of the Regular Redmi Buds 5.

It has 3 types of noise reduction for multiple scenarios: Light mode for offices and libraries, Deep mode for subway stations and airports, and Balanced mode for cafes and parks.  It has 3 types of transparency modes as well including Regular mode, Enhance voice mode, and Enhance ambient sound transparency mode.

The device comes with touch touch-sensitive area to switch songs, pause, answer, end calls, and perform other functions. Double tap to play or pause as well as answer or end calls. Triple tap for the next song or reject the call. Press and hold for ANC and transparency modes.

This is also compatible with the Xiaomi Earbuds app where you can fully maximize and control the buds. Of course, this has a dual-device smart connectivity function to effortlessly switch from your phone to tablet when needed.

Black variant with leather-like finish

According to Xiaomi, each bud can last up to 10 hours on a single charge and up to 38 hours with the charging case.

By the way, the Black charging case has a cool-looking faux leather texture design for a more delicate feel and a sleeker overall look.
