The Redmi upgrades you might need in 2024

On January 15, Xiaomi's Redmi brand revealed its latest line of devices in Bangkok, Thailand. From smartphones to watches, there is surely something new the brand can offer.

Here is a quick rundown of Redmi’s new offerings:

The device’s display features a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution, up to 1,800 nits of max brightness, and DCI-P3 color gamut. What’s different is that 4G has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection while the 5G model has Gorilla Glass 5.

Inside, the 4G model gets a 2.8GHz 6nm Snapdragon 685 octa-core processor with Adreno 610 GPU. The 5G variant gets the 2.GHz 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6080 8-core chip with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

Both are also equipped with 6GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB//256GB UFS 2.2 expandable storage, 5,000mAh battery capacity w/ USB-C, and 33W fast charging.

For cameras, both have 108MP f/1.7 + 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide + 2MP f/2.4 macro + LED flash.

The Redmi Note 13 6GB/128GB retails for PHP 7,999 while its 8GB/256GB version is priced at PHP 9,999.

The LTE-only Redmi Note 13 Pro with a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 2,400 x 1,080 resolution, a 1,300 nits peak brightness, and up to 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio, a TUV Rheinland certification, and is Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protected.

It packs a 6nm MediaTek Helio G99-Ultra octa-core processor, Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 8GB/12GB LPDDR4X RAM, 256GB/512GB UFS 2.2 storage, microSD card storage expansion, and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W turbocharging via USB-C.

At the back of the Note 13 Pro is the 200MP f/1.65 main camera with 1/1.4-inch sensor and OIS, an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP f/2.4 macro camera with an LED flash While in the front is the 16MP selfie camera.

Meanwhile, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G features a 6.67-inch CrystalRes AMOLED screen with a 2,712 x 1,220 resolution, a 1,800 nits peak brightness, and up to 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio, a TUV Rheinland certification, and a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

It also has a 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 octa-core processor, an Adreno GPU, 8GB/12GB LPDDR4X RAM, 256GB/512GB UFS 2.2, and a 5,100mAh battery with 67W Turbocharging via USB-C.

At the back of the Note 13 Pro 5G are the 200MP f/1.65 main camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and OIS, an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP f/2.4 macro camera with an LED flash. While in front is the 16MP selfie camera.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G starts at PHP 13,999 while the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G starts at PHP 16,999.

In front, you get the 16MP f/2.45 snapper. It retails for PHP 20,999.

This latest wireless earphones from Xiaomi have dual-engine acoustics, deep space noise reduction, and a new acoustic structure with a powerful algorithm which all claim to elevate overall sound quality and noise reduction capabilities.

The headset is said to achieve a maximum noise reduction depth of 52dB while offering AI adaptive adjustment, 49ms low latency, 4kHz noise reduction frequency band, and 9m/s noise resistance for calls.
