Motorola Edge 50 Ultra launched: SD8G3, IP68, 64MP 3x telephoto!

Motorola introduced its flagship Edge 50 Ultra bringing top-of-the-line hardware.

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra launched!

The new phone features three color design options in Nordic Wood, Forest Grey with vegan leather back, and the Peach Fuzz which won the Pantone Color of the Year.

In front, it features a 6.7-inch 2712 x 1200 resolution OLED screen with 1.5K 2712 x 1220 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, DCI-P3 wide color gamut, HDR10+, 2,500 nits of peak brightness, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

Inside, it is equipped with the latest Qualcomm chip which is the 3.3GHz 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 octa-core processor with Adreno GPU, 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.

The cameras

For battery, the phone has a 4,500mAh capacity that charging using USB-C 125W TurboPower charging and 50W wireless charging.

For cameras, it has a 50MP f/1.6 1/1.3-inch main sensor with OIS + 50MP f/2.0 122-degree ultra-wide-angle sensor + 64MP f/2.4 3x portrait telephoto camera + LED flash.

For selfies, the Edge 50 Ultra uses 50MP f/1.9 with AF capability.

Other features noted are an In-Display fingerprint reader, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, 3x microphones, and IP68 water, and dust resistance.

Connectivity features are 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 7 (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, GPS, and dual SIM.

For software, the phone runs Android 14 out of the box.

It is only going to be available in select markets in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Oceania. No word yet for other markets as well as in PH.
