Apple earlier introduced the new M4 chip for the iPad Pro. According to the company, this new chip enables the "breakthrough design and stunning display of the new tablet, while delivering a giant leap in performance".
The new Apple M4 chip was built on the second-generation 3-nanometer technology with a total of 28 billion transistors boasting an "industry-leading" power efficiency.
It comes with a new up-to-10-core CPU with up to 4x performance cores and 6x efficiency cores.
According to Apple, these next-generation cores feature an improved branch of prediction, wide decode + execution engines for the performance cores, and a deeper execution engine for the efficiency cores.
It is up to 1.5x faster in CPU performance coming from the M2 of the previous iPad Pro.
Moreover, it has a new 10-core GPU with "next-generation" graphics architecture of the M3 chips. It features Dynamic Caching that allocates local memory dynamically in hardware and in real-time to increase the average utilization of the GPU. Apple said that this significantly increases performance for most demanding pro apps and games. Also, it has hardware-accelerated ray tracing and mesh shading.
Apple also boasts that it has "The Most Powerful Neural Engine" capable of 38 trillion operations per second. In comparison, the American tech giant claims that it is 60x faster than its first Neural Engine with the A11 Bionic.
