The Infinix NOTE 40 5G (PHP 12,999) aims to continue the strong momentum started by the NOTE 40 Pro+ 5G as it boasts strong specs for the price, especially for its TikTok Shop introductory promo price of just PHP 9,999 from May 23 to 25.
This handset features a chipset enabling "5G ultra-fast gameplay" called the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 as well as its large memory configuration at 12GB RAM (expandable to 24GB with the help of its massive 512GB internal storage), beautiful design, and battery and charging innovations.

1. It sports powerful internals for an affordable phone - In particular, the Infinix NOTE 40 5G highlights the 2.2GHz 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7020 octa-core processor with IMG BXM-8-256 GPU.
This is the same chipset found on the Infinix NOTE 40 Pro+ 5G which guarantees great performance at this price point. It is fast enough to run most of the basic tasks like running social media apps, HD streaming videos on YouTube or Netflix, and editing the content you took via Snapseed, Canva, and even CapCut videos.
Of course, this device can game. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang at max settings? No problem.
More demanding games like Genshin Impact are also playable. Just make sure to tone down the graphics settings and set the X-boost settings to performance mode (more power-consuming).

Speaking of charging, it has an interesting setup. The primary charger of the device is a 33W All-Round Fast Charge brick which can fill its capacity to 50 percent under 30 minutes and just under 1.5 hours to fully charge the phone.
Moreover, it also has the 15W Wireless MagCharge support making it the most affordable smartphone in the country with magnetic wireless charging.
Just note that you need to use the in-box circular magnetic charger to make this work. Ensure that you use a compatible USB-C cable and that the LED light on the magnetic charger is working before using it.
After that, the Active Halo Design on the camera hump will light up indicating that the wireless charging is already working.
It takes about 2 hours to fully charge the phone using the wireless charger.

3. Great looks, immersive multimedia experience - Despite its affordable pricing, Infinix ensured that the NOTE 40 5G is well built with a sleek design. The device arrived with a glass-like back design in Titan Gold, Obsidian Black, and Vintage Green colorways.
It is also very slim at just 7.91 mm despite having all its strong specs and features for the price.
To make it comfortable to hold even after hours of gaming, the device is also not that heavy at just 181 grams.
To further help its users enjoy gaming, social media, and content creation, Infinix equipped the phone with a flat and color-accurate 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ 2436 x 1080 resolution at 393 ppi, In-Display fingerprint reader, and a top-center punch-hole for the 32MP selfie camera.
Aside from gaming, we enjoyed using it for viewing YouTube, Disney+, and Netflix clips thanks to its nice overall picture quality and super slim bezels.

4. Good back and front cameras - Infinix also equipped the phone with a massive 108MP f/1.75 main camera with PDAF focus and up to 3x in-sensor zoom. This also has 2MP sensors for depth and AI.

The result? We were able to take good quality photos for the price either for daylight, zooming, or indoors. Most are rich in details and it can do close-up photos with natural-looking bokeh. It is nice for Portraits as well.

In the dark, its sensor is enough to take decent photos. But, it also has a Night mode that is great for low-light cityscapes.
